Preparing for a job interview is a must. It is a battle for you to prepare.

What is a Job Interview?

 

Based on WikiPedia- A job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant and a representative of an employer which is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired. Interviews are one of the most popularly used devices for employee selection.

What to prepare in a Job Interview?

• Resume - You should know what is in your resume. Everything that the employer will ask will be 50% from your resume. For more information about resume there is another topic in this blog that you can check.
• Attire- You should wear corporate business attire in your job application. You should look neat and decent because somehow the employer will look on your physical appearance. 
• Questions in an Interview- You should be prepared for the questions that the employer might throw into you. You can research about the company mostly their mission and vision and some of the objective of the company. In this topic we will also tackle the most generic question in a job interview.
• Be on time- If you have a job interview, get some rest and make sure that you will be 30 minutes a head in your interview. NEVER EVER BE LATE! That's the first assessment in your punctuality.

What to wear in a Job Interview?

DRESS TO IMPRESS.

In a job interview wear a business corporate attire. Know the difference between business attire and formal attire. Here are some example of the attire that you should wear...

Tips:

Do not overdress

Dont wear revealing clothes for the girls. You can show your shape by wearing tight dress or skirt but I discourage to wear short length skirt and cleavage showing top.

Dont eye catching colors like red, neons, bright orange or yellow. As much as possible go with the neutrals like black, white, khaki and beige.

For the guys make sure that you are wearing black shoes.

For the girls I encourage to wear heels but make sure that it is closed heels. Do not wear the trendy open toe heels (NEVER).

For the girls, make sure to wear only light make up. Avoid putting dark eyeshadow. 

For the hair, make sure that it is neat. For boys make sure that there will be no hair that will cover your face and for the girls make sure to fix it and try to explore with hairdo. 

Don't wear something distracting like sparkly. The interviewer must  only be focused on your answers.

• Tell me about yourself- When you are asked question like this, answer something that is NOT INCLUDED in your resume. Something interesting like your hobbies, your things that you usually do in your spare time, Your plans in life. Something interesting to know about you.
• Why should we hire you? Answer about your capabilites and that you are ready and equipped with the job
• Why do you think you fit on this job? Answer with your experiences related to having the job
